
Jessie Marino (b.1984) is a musician who grew up in Long Island, New York. She holds a Bachelor's degree from the Manhattan School of Music where she studied with David Geber. In 2006, Jessie was awarded the Stamas Family Scholarship from Lincoln Center and recently has received support from the Strategic Opportunity Stipend (NYFA) and the Northern Manhattan Artists Alliance. As a cellist Jessie plays regularly with Ensemble Pamplemousse and the Red Light New Music Ensemble (NYC). She has also worked with the SEM Ensemble (NYC), Forum Zeitgenoessicher Musik (Leipzig), KlangExecutiv (Berlin), the Ostravksa Banda (Czech Republic) and with members of the Klangforum Wien (Vienna). In 2006 Jessie moved to Berlin, Germany and started a performance art duo with the singer/composer Kerstin Fuchs and curated concerts at the interdisciplinary art space Little Miss Micks. She currently resides in New York City where she co-founded the three-piece inter-media performance ensemble Tall Brown Boots. Upcoming engagements include a solo tour in Berlin and Vienna, a concert tour with Ensemble Pamplemousse around the United States, and the unveiling of The Lab, an uptown concert venue/ rehearsal space/ living room, in 2010.
