RED LIGHT NEW MUSIC

dave broome
A diverse pianist/composer of great imagination, David Broome's curiosity for music has led him to create new possibilities for the concert stage. David has experimented and performed in nearly every musical genre from classical to rap, jazz, gospel, musical theater, big-band, and heavy metal, among others. His recitals have been appreciated in America and across Europe and he has been described in the New York Times as a "deft and focused performer," and as an artist who composes "juicily atmospheric music." A devoted performer of new music in addition to his own works, David has premiered numerous compositions of young, upcoming composers, and has worked with many established composers such as Meredith Monk, Martin Bresnick, David Lang, and Michael Gordon. As a New York based artist, David has performed at such venues as Merkin Hall, The 92nd St. Y, The Whitney Museum, The Stone, St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery, The Japan Society, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College, Princeton University, Montclair State University - many of which he also premiered his own compositions. David regularly performs with and writes music for Ensemble Pamplemousse and Corky Has A Band.
