Daniel Tacke (born 1985) holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (BMus, Composition, 2006) and the University of California at San Diego (MA, Music, 2008) where he is currently pursuing doctoral studies in composition.

He has studied composition primarily with Randolph Coleman, Lewis Nielson, Roger Reynolds, and Rand Steiger.
